1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the provision of gardening, landscape construction, and property enhancement services by Jobrite Landscaping Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) to clients and property owners (“you” or the “Client”), as well as your general use of the website accessible at https://jobritelandscaping.com.

By commissioning work, confirming a written quote, or browsing our site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms in full, you must notify us prior to work commencing or discontinue use of the website.

2. Our Services

Jobrite Landscaping Ltd provides comprehensive domestic and commercial landscaping services across Cambridge and the surrounding counties. Our core specialisations include:

  • Soft Landscaping (turfing, planting, mulching)
  • Hard Landscaping (retaining walls, masonry, steps)
  • Fencing & Boundary Screening
  • Ponds & Bespoke Water Features
  • Paving, Patios & Driveway Installation
  • Garden Design, Planning & Consultation

All work is executed to professional industry standards using materials approved prior to the start of the project.

3. Quotes, Estimates & Pricing

All formal estimates and quotations are issued following an initial consultation or site inspection. Written quotations remain valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue unless specified otherwise.

Quotes are calculated based on the ground and site conditions visible at the time of the initial visit. We reserve the right to revise pricing or provide an amended estimate if unforeseen subsurface complications (such as buried concrete, hidden tree roots, uncharted pipework, or unstable foundations) are uncovered during excavation. Any necessary price variations will be presented to and approved by the Client prior to the continuation of the affected work.

4. Payment Terms

Unless alternate written terms are agreed upon in your quote, our standard payment procedure is as follows:

  • Deposit: A deposit is required upon booking to secure your installation date and cover the initial procurement of project-specific materials.
  • Staged Payments: For larger or multi-phase projects, milestone payments will be scheduled according to mutually agreed completion phases.
  • Final Settlement: The remaining balance becomes due immediately upon final practical completion and site handover.

Invoices must be settled via bank transfer within 7 days of issue. Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you wish to cancel or postpone scheduled work, you must provide Jobrite Landscaping Ltd with at least 14 days’ written notice. Cancellations made within 14 days of the planned start date may result in the forfeiture of your deposit or liability for materials already purchased or manufactured to order.

Because landscaping is heavily dependent on weather conditions, we reserve the right to reschedule installation days in the event of torrential rain, sub-zero ground freezing, or conditions that would compromise the structural integrity of paving, concrete, mortar, or turf. We will communicate any weather delays promptly.

6. Warranties & Liability

Jobrite Landscaping Ltd guarantees all hard landscaping workmanship (including paving bases, brickwork, and fencing installations) against construction failure for a period of 12 months from the date of completion, subject to fair wear and tear.

Plant, turf, and biological materials are supplied healthy and first-grade at the point of installation. Because plant longevity depends entirely on proper aftercare, we cannot accept liability for plant or lawn failure resulting from extreme weather (drought, frost, waterlogging), pest infestations, inadequate watering, or failure to follow supplied care guidelines.

We maintain full Public and Employers’ Liability Insurance. Our aggregate liability for direct damage arising out of our work is limited strictly to the total contract sum of the project.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth project delivery, the Client agrees to:

  • Site Access: Provide unhindered access to the garden or worksite during standard working hours, along with reasonable access to an outdoor water supply and electricity where needed.
  • Statutory Permissions: Secure all relevant planning permissions, building regulations, covenants, or Party Wall Agreements prior to the commencement of construction.
  • Utility Markings: Inform our team in advance of any known underground pipes, cables, septic tanks, soakaways, or irrigation lines not documented on standard utility maps.

8. Intellectual Property

All concepts, custom garden designs, plans, sketches, visualisations, and website media produced by Jobrite Landscaping Ltd remain the intellectual property of Jobrite Landscaping Ltd unless specifically transferred in a separate written agreement.

We reserve the right to photograph completed landscaping work for our portfolio, social media channels, and marketing materials, ensuring no personal details or internal house views are displayed.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any contractual agreement entered into with Jobrite Landscaping Ltd are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect operational, commercial, or regulatory changes. Any modifications will be published directly on this page with an updated “Last updated” timestamp at the top of the document.
